Security Dog handler courses

All security doghandler courses are PSIRA accredited.The duration of training courses are based on a minimum amount of five handlers in a class. Trainees work with a dog trained to that level of his/her course so handling skills can be tested. Handlers are supplied with their own manuals. Refreshments and lunches are supplied with all courses. If a trainee passes the DH3 course, he is supplied with a free leash as well.

 
DOGHANDLER 1 (DH 1)
An introductory course that prepares the security dog handler to effectively patrol premises and secure it against unlawful intrusion.
Minimum requirements: Security Grade E
Course Duration: 3 Days (8.00am-4.00pm)

DOGHANDLER 2 (DH 2)
An intensive course that enables the security dog handler to patrol public areas e.g. car parks, shopping centres, sport venues, etc.
Minimum requirements: Security Grade D & DH 1
Course duration: 3 days (8:00am-4: 30pm)

DOGHANDLER 3 (DH 3)
An intensive course that prepares the security dog handler to work in areas where staff/public is present and has more specialized requirements e.g. special events, access control points, etc.
Minimum requirements: Security Grade D & DH 2
Course duration: 5 days (8:00-4:00pm)

DOGHANDLER 4 (DH 4)
An intensive course that prepares the security dog handler to work as a Rapid Response Team for key holder or warden service employers.
Minimum requirements: Security Grade D & DH3
Course duration: 5 Days (8:00am-4:00pm)
